january 2012

Well we are finally up and running properly!    We have had armies of community service work teams in to help totally rebuild and rearrange the whole place, and we have now taken on work experience guys and gals to help build the vehicles and run the place.
While they are here they are being trained and mentored on our trainee course, having their basic skills brushed up and  work and training record files written as they continue, so they will leave us better equipped for the working environment, and hopefully placed into jobs through us.
We have continued with two more sandrail builds since christmas, as well as the baja bus support vehicle.    We hope to have a fleet of 6 vehicles ready for action by late spring, and a few other shows and events on the horizon too.

As well as the off road rails we are build three "road legal karts" based around suzuki cappucino drivetrains.   That is rear wheel drive, front engined 660cc turbo 3 cylinder engines with a motorbike rev range and an all up weight likely to be well under 450kg...

Other current projects in the shack include a 4 litre v8 conversion to a Mazda MX5,  32 ford pickup hot rod,  drag race beetle pickup with subaru power, and a 1961 Vauxhall Cresta restoration.
Unfortunately being a clever chap who thinks ahead, I have left the camera and all the memory cards with years of pics at the shack, so I will add photos in the week!
